Loyola Academy

Glenview, IL

Loyola Academy (high school enrollment 2,000 of which 1,400 participated in sports) had lost its access to leased athletic fields and had no room on its own campus, in an area where land costs to replace the fields could be as much as $100 million.

This Nonlinear solution could be described as “alchemy” by combining brownfield redevelopment, risk allocation, civil engineering, and credit enhancement.

Replace the school’s athletic campus to serve 1,400 athletes with high quality playing facilities.

Loyola Academy limited the project to using no fund raising, no tuition increase, no tax referendum, and no use of endowment funds.

Our solution created a new 60-acre athletic campus with 10 fields, lighting, parking, and space for a future field house.
